Results vary
File size and visual quality depend on the image, the format, the settings, and the browser. A target size is an attempt, not a promise that every image will land on that number. A compressed file can be larger than the original. Compare the result before you rely on it.
No account and no warranty
The tool is offered as available. It can fail on a damaged file, a file over 20 MB, or an image that is too large to decode safely. Keep your own originals. This page does not promise uninterrupted service or a particular search ranking.
