Review this page before you publish the site. It describes the behavior in this version of the code. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and it does not name a company because none is configured here.

Image files

JPG, PNG, and WebP files you add are compressed in this browser. The compression code does not send those files to an application server or to an image API. Previews use temporary object URLs. Those URLs are revoked when you remove an image, clear the list, or leave the page.

What the host can see

Loading the website still requests HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from whatever host you deploy to. That host can keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address and the page URL. Those logs are separate from the images you compress, which are not posted as form data by this app.

Cookies, analytics, and accounts

This version does not add an analytics script, advertising tag, or account system. It does not set a tracking cookie in application code. A host or browser may still use a strictly technical cookie of its own. If you add analytics later, update this page first.

What we do not collect on purpose

There is no profile, payment record, or uploaded image library in this project. Do not type secrets into an image if you can avoid it. Error text is meant to describe the file problem, not to print private system details.
